Julio was born in Puerto Rico, known as the Island of Enchantment for its picture postcard scenery and semitropical rainforest. When the family moved to New York City, Julio found himself drawn to the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx for its rich horticultural scenery. Julio gained a deep appreciation for the challenges in creating successful landscape installations in the confines of a densely populated urban centre. Through applied study, Julio became an authority on landscape irrigation and lighting, and its application to each garden’s individual needs. Julio has been with Plant Specialists since 2006.
